Leeds GAA Hurling Club home page
Hi
1 Feb 2010 - Since this website was set in Oct 09, we have gathered 21 players and awaiting funding to come. Once this is settled, the games can begin. We also are changing the team name to Yorkshire Emeralds and can be found under this name on Facebook. Website is not set up for Emeralds yet but will be at a later date. You can still get in contact to register your interest at hurlingleeds@yahoo.co.uk or Colm on mob 07981 993 826.
Thanks
Oct 2009:
This is hopefully the start of a new Yorkshire Hurling Club based in Leeds to represent Yorkshire & Humberside region with the intention to enter competitions in 2010. The idea now is to get players based in Yorkshire or as far afield as Newcastle to register their interest and we can take it from there to compete next year. Eire Og may only be a temporary name until we register the club but that will be dealt with later.
If this takes off, this website will be jazzed up with pics, news etc but right now please email hurlingleeds@yahoo.co.uk with the following details
Name
Location
Mobile preferably or other contact number
Your home county
And any other details or questions you have
We already have players ready to take the field from counties like Kilkenny, Tipp, Cork, Dublin, Down, Derry, Fermanagh and Armagh(!) and would welcome as many as possible from any county to get involved even if you've only briefly played the game before. The hope is to get a squad of at least 20 players. We think there are hurlers in Yorkshire and surrounding areas that would play hurling if given the opportunity so here's your chance to get involved.
If you're the next DJ Carey or Joe Canning who's talent is untapped in Yorkshire, get in touch at the email address above or write on the Guestbook and we'll get back in touch asap to you.
Thanks
